Work to build our new floodlit multi-use-games-arena has been completed and the lock removed from the main gate. Local youngsters are already enjoying a kickabout on the muga and several new groups / clubs are forming to use the court, especially during dark afternoons with the free floodlighting. A reservation system has been developed to avoid any double booking clashes between groups.
The Parish Council want any local residents to use and enjoy the facility for casual play, but to encourage and allow priority to be given to organised teams, clubs and groups playing football, netball, tennis, basketball or pickleball who have reserved the muga via the booking system. When making a reservation, all other bookings are visible, so avoiding double ups. Please will casual players clear the court for teams who have pre-booked.
Teams will be able to store their equipment (tennis nets / pickleball net etc) in the green storage shed. The shed key and a key for the outside toilet (just in case!) is in the black lock box on the village hall wall near the entrance to the sports field and the latest code is provided on the email confirming each booking. Alternatively the code is available from Village Hall Trustees or Parish Council members or parishclerk@southkilworth.co.uk
Players or Teams wanting to reserve the muga should first register their email address, password, and contact details using the log-in button and scrolling down to hit 'create new user account' . Once you have a user account then use your email address and password to log back in and make a reservation. You will receive an email confirmation once your booking is confirmed and a reminder of your booking one day ahead. Floodlighting details below.

The MUGA was developed by the Parish Council and it is the PC's intention (whilst it remains affordable) to allow free access and free floodlighting, after dusk, to all. A button on the silver Control Box by the gate will give one hours free floodlighting. After 55 minutes the floodlights will gradually power down and go off completely after 60 minutes. The button can be pressed again for another hours' lighting, but the floodlights will cease operating at 10pm.
Please clear the MUGA at 10pm to enable us to meet the Conditions set in our Planning Approval.
Please will users follow the Muga Rules posted on the gate and also try to keep the court mud free. Trainers etc only on the court. Keep footwear with studs or blades and also bikes, scooters etc out of the MUGA to avoid damaging the painted surface.
